Our Story
Food cooked the slow way, in a manpanai.
Tucked just off the Karur–Namakkal Highway near the RTO office, RK Mess & Restaurant has been feeding travellers, families and locals of Manmangalam with honest, full-flavoured meals every day from 11 in the morning to 11 at night.
Our kitchen is built around the manpanai — the unglazed earthen pot. It draws out gentler aromas from spices, keeps biryani fluffy, and gives gravies a depth no steel vessel ever can. Around that tradition we plate everything from Chettinad and banana-leaf meals to North Indian curries, Chinese and tandoor.
